I always have the best intentions to keep posting regularly and updating parts of the site, but something always slides. I blame summer. I am not a fan of summer, and the sun and the hotness. I react to summer like most people seem to react to winter, with dread and moaning. Although I do try and moan as little as possible. It is fun at first, playing on the beach and not worrying if you forget a jumper, but the novelty wears off really fast for me. So now it is the beginning of the colder seasons and I am feeling more energised and awake. This also means the start of the fungi season, which is rather exciting. There is nothing better on earth than wandering through a wet dark forest, eyes on the leaf litter, finding all sorts of marvellous things!
This year I will start adding the fungi to the Tasmanian Flora section. Chances are I will start out well and then get sidetracked and get a build up of species I want to add. Just like I have done with the rest of the sections so far. But that’s ok, it is my little work in progress, so meh…
This post has no point, except to say I am excited for winter and the cold… And of course the fungi it brings along!
