Epacris corymbiflora

Epacris corymbiflora

Straggling Heath or Buttongrass Heath

Ericaceae

Flowering: October through January

Usual habitat/distribution: Pretty common in wet, boggy, peaty places in the South West and West of Tasmania. Especially in Buttongrass plains

Status: Not listed

Description: Upright little shrub, roughly around the 1m mark, although usually a bit smaller. Leaves are diamond shaped and slightly pressed to the stem, but a little bit sticky out. Leaf tips are kind of pointy, but not sharp and pokey like a lot of other Epacris species are. Flowers are generally clustered toward the top of the plant forming a bit of a spherical head. Anthers sit below the top of where the flowers open, rarely poking out (you can see this if you look sideways at the flower)
