Description:
Pretty much a leafless climber. Leaves are linear to elliptical 1-5cm long, 1-5mm wide, lower side paler, although leaves are very sparse. Woody.
Flowers on axillary racemes, occasionally terminal. 4-8mm long, usually purplish although can range through mauve and blue to white. Two large sepals which look like wings, with other floral parts quite small.

Tasmania has 4 other species of Comesperma, although all others are shrubs or shrubby like so they can’t be confused with this one.
